In commemoration of the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Government of India is proud to announce the launch of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” 3.0 Campaign. This initiative, designed to promote community involvement and foster a “Jan Andolan” (people’s movement), is a heartfelt tribute to the ideals of the Father of the Nation. The campaign is currently underway and will continue until October 31, 2023, with the active participation of students, teachers, and the wider community, all united in the mission to promote cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene.
The Cleanliness Drive, aptly named “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Sath,” took place on October 1, 2023, at 10:00 am, witnessing wholehearted involvement from CBSE officers, employees, and affiliated schools. The chosen sites for this cleanliness drive encompassed critical areas such as Garbage Vulnerable Points, Railway tracks and Stations, Areas surrounding schools, Slums, under bridges, and Market spaces, among others.
As a pivotal component of Special Campaign 3.0, CBSE Schools have received a special request to organize a series of cleanliness activities under the ongoing cleanliness drive until October 31, 2023. Schools are encouraged to conduct Swachhata Pledge ceremonies and various competitions, including Essay/Slogan/Poem writing, Painting, and Quiz contests, aimed at promoting awareness of cleanliness and hygiene practices among students.
This collaborative effort reflects the unwavering commitment of CBSE and its affiliated institutions to make a positive impact on society by fostering a culture of cleanliness and hygiene. Together, we endeavor to honor the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and contribute to the betterment of our communities.
