The opening of the first virtual education platform named, Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS). It was announced by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education, it would be successful for the dropout students and career-oriented girls said CM. DMVS will have classes for IX to XII, currently, only the admissions for class IX will be open.

DMVS is based on the same concept which was followed by schools during covid-19 i.e. the virtual method. Children from across the country can get educated whether it is in city or a village. Parents who don’t want to send their daughters and children away for further education can enroll in this school for completion of their studies. Also, this institution is helpful for those children who opt for labor jobs due to lack of facilities in their areas. “India can’t become the world’s top nation until every Indian child is accorded the best education,” said Kejriwal.

According to Kejriwal, all classes will be online in this school. There will be recorded sessions as well for those who couldn’t attend the live sessions for various reasons that they can cover up in their free time. Every student will be assigned an ID and Password to access the online classes and recorded videos with the supplementary study material and get access to a digital library with 24/7 available content.

Youngsters aged 13-18 who have completed their schooling till VIII from a recognized school can apply for admissions in DMVS free of cost as no school fees would be charged. Kejriwal states that 75 years have already been wasted so we have to take this revolutionary step to ensure that every child gets the best education as soon as possible.
