Goa Carbon Limited (GCL), India’s premier manufacturer of Calcined Petroleum Coke, and BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, have entered into a momentous Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), symbolizing their dedication to long-term research and development endeavors focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, as well as the pursuit of operational excellence.
Under this strategic alliance, BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, will harness its expertise and resources to conduct an in-depth analysis of GCL’s current operational parameters. This collaboration aims to develop a cutting-edge Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model, which will enhance plant efficiency, ensuring predictable outcomes while adhering to stringent environmental standards.
Mr. Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman of the Dempo Group and Goa Carbon Limited, as well as the President of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), expressed his enthusiasm about the MoA, saying, “This marks a historic moment for Goa Carbon as we join hands with BITS Pilani. We have consistently been at the forefront of adopting best practices to achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth.
