Despite the annual increase in the number of Indian students opting for overseas education, this report indicates a substantial financial boost to the international education sector.
The report, titled “Beyond Beds & Boundaries: Indian Student Mobility Report, 2023,” delves deep into the dynamics of Indian students seeking higher education abroad, with a particular focus on popular destinations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. It’s worth noting that several other countries, including Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Ireland, Singapore, Russia, Philippines, France, and New Zealand, have also emerged as preferred choices for Indian students pursuing international education. In 2023, the report reveals that approximately 1.3 million Indian students are studying abroad. Leading the charge in sending students overseas are Indian states such as Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
