Sometimes when elders fail to find solutions it’s the kids who come to rescue. Wondering what are we talking about? Well, it’s about this one 8th Grader who has created a buzz in the town or say the entire country, Akshat Mittal, who has tried giving a solution to the odd-even rule for vehicles regulated by govt. of Delhi.

Earlier this month, when the Kejriwal-led Delhi govt. announced the odd-even vehicle rule for Delhiites, the commuters all over the city raised various concerns over day-to-day traveling. This young scientist too was concerned, but his concern was worth it as he thought beyond the worries anc concerns.

To the relief of Delhiites, this 13-year-old student has brought forth his car-pooling website. Who could have thought of a website as a solution to this problem, if not anybody else then surely this wonder kid from Amity International School Noida, did.

With Akshat’s website, all that one has to do is, get oneself registered with their name, age, mobile number and the registration number of their vehicle. Once they have registered themselves, they can choose commuter of their choice in terms of gender and age. In addition to it, the commuter is also given an option to select between one-way or a return trip.

He further informs that to fulfill the needs of all, there are various filters and other options as well. The innovative young mind further went on to say that the mobile version of the website is under-planning and he is looking forward for its launch.

Talking about the problem that the commuters will face in the coming days due to odd-even rule by the Delhi govt., he said, “I thought about the problem people would face due to enforcement of the new rule. I made the website which works on algorithms based on the age, gender, profession and timings of commuters to travel.”
