After receiving complaints that schools were conducting tuitions in the school premises after school hours, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) swung into action and carried out surprise raids in 15 other schools continuing on the second day.

Such surprise raids were already conducted on Friday on 2 schools situated in Naroda area by the Board. The board had originally received complaints that there were 15 schools in the Ahmedabad city and rural which were conducting science stream tuitions after school hours.

The Board devised a strategy under which it was decided to conduct surprise raids in these schools by sending teams. Once the report was received by the board, it was decided to send another team of officials who will carry out the surprise raids in these schools again after which the board will decide what action will be taken against such schools. Importantly, the board will also check in these raids whether the teachers were the same or they were different from those on the rolls of the schools.

RI Patel the board secretary said that they had received complaints against 15 schools from Ahmedabad city and rural. "We have asked for the report and once we get the report the board will then decide the action against the schools."
