It is proposed that the Madhya Pradesh government will provide over 400,000 free cycles to a similar number of students who will secure an admission in class XII in government schools. These cycles will be distributed under a scheme run by the school education department.

The education department has signed a MoU with Laghu Udyog Nigam for the purchase and distribution of the said cycles. The condition which determines whether a boy or a girl is eligible for a cycle is the absence of a high school in the village and despite that the student has secured an admission in class XII making it compulsory for the student to travel to nearby villages to imbibe education.

During the year 2015-16, the government deposited ₹102 crore in the bank accounts of 4.26 lakh students with each student getting ₹2400.
