Dreams are what make us who we are. They are what inspire us to become better, to perform better in order to achieve the things we truly desire. And everybody has the right to dream. The only question is, can you make that dream into reality?
These talents need to be honed under proper mentorship and guidance to make one’s life fruitful and to help him achieve what he was meant to be, not settling for anything less.
And to achieve this very purpose, The Akshaya Patra Foundation has started a program to support 100 children with undiscovered talents from across the country, in an effort to hone their talents in the best way possible, helping them support themselves for the rest of their lives.
Launched at Vivanta, Taj, on June 11 2016 by Infosys Chairperson and Chief Guest, Sudha Murty, the programme is presided by Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, the chairperson of the program. There are many other prominent benefactors of this noble cause, including, Mohandas Pai, an independent trustee of the foundation, Sushruti Krishna, Femina Miss India 2016 and celebrated Bollywood music duo Sona Mohapatra and Ram Sampath, who eben composed and performed the theme song for the programme at the launch event.
Along this Akashaya took great pride in providing a two-month long mentorship to its 3 mid-day meal beneficiaries, namely, Manjula, the debuting actress; Shivu, an aspiring astronomer and Shekar, a chef in the making.
Claimed by Shri Madhu Pandit, this programme was to establish a deep rooted link between health and education as the two things are very essential for an efficient lifestyle.
There were also many other noble organizations which participated in making this program an absolute success, vivanta by Taj, 92.7 FM and 24Frames.
This initiative is 'A step towards a better nation. A step towards a better world.'
