Annual Career Fair of IIS Dammam a hit

The International Indian School Dammam (IISD) organized its Annual Career Fair-2016 recently. It helped the parents and students by making accessible various undergraduate courses by different colleges and universities.

The International Indian School Dammam (IISD) organized its Annual Career Fair-2016 to a full house recently. The aim of the event is to facilitate an interaction between students & their parents with different colleges and universities for undergraduate courses after the schooling.

‎‏The fair was inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador Ahmad Javed followed by an introduction to the representatives of the participating institutions. Second Secretary (Political, Cultural and Information) Hifzur Rahman also graced the event with his presence.

Dr. Abdusalam Kanniyan, the Chairman of the School’s Managing Committee welcomed the dignitaries, guests and the parents and spoke to the audience in brief explaining the efforts of the school in providing the right guidance to the students about future career prospects as well as preparing them for the higher studies.

As the number of students in the secondary and higher secondary school are over 4,000 such a fair becomes an important interaction ground for both, the institutions as well as the parents.

Around 30 educational Institutions including colleges and universities from the United Kingdom, Malaysia, GCC countries, Canada and India had setup their stalls at the fair.

Many students benefited by visiting the fair and getting first hand information about courses provided, admission criteria, requirements, fee structure and other pertinent information.

The Principal and Head of IIS, Dr. E. K. Mohammed Shaffe thanked the representatives of the local and foreign educational institutions for participating in the event and counseling parents and students.

‎‏He urged the parents and students to take maximum benefit of this event and obtain as much information as they require from the participating institutions so that they could take an informed decision.
