Bent to Fight Cancer, This School Will Walk the Entire Night!
Cancer is a something that the entire world dreads. However, there still is much left for people to know. Ecole Mondiale World School participates and invites many more to participate along with American Cancer Society
École Mondiale World School, Mumbai, has been organizing an event that helps create an awareness among students and parents for a social cause.
Relay for Life
A walkathon was initiated by American Cancer Society to create an awareness against cancer to help raise funds Indian Cancer Society for further researches. This year, the school is conducting the walkathon on 15 January 2016. The motto behind this event that the school follows is “Cancer does not sleep, so for one night neither will we” and yes, the school doesn’t. For the overnight relay style walkathon, the school invites all the students of Classes 8-12, who are seen participating and interacting with other guests enthusiastically.
Chats, educational talks and inspirational speeches by cancer survivors along with ceremonies and activities are all organized by the school and American Cancer Society collaboratively.
When Relay for Life was initiated in the year 2012, it was just Ecole participating; however, now the walkathon has garnered interest and support throughout India and many have come forward to participate making it a grand success.
