At least seven children were killed and many others (of the nineteen children present) were wounded on Monday when a train hit their school van at an unmanned railway crossing in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district.
The injured have been taken to the nearby hospitals for treatment and care.
Police officials reached the accident spot and investigations are underway regarding the cause of the accident.
