We’re glad the efforts of our dear educators are not going unnoticed during the COVID-19 crisis. Students, parents, government and, in fact, the whole world is cheering these teachers who promptly took to conducting classes online and didn't hesitate in travelling miles to reach their students in person when the schools were forced to shut after the virus-outbreak.

UNICEF’s initiative #ThankYouTeacher endeavours to show this gratefulness that children have for their respective teachers, who're making learning possible during the testing times. Endearing messages (mostly, hand-written) on colourful posters are emerging from all across the globe speaking positive things about millions of sincere and selfless teachers we’re blessed to have.

Holding these placards with an appreciating smile on their faces, you can see several pictures of kids posted on social media by their schools and guardians.

The hashtag #ThankYouTeacher was also used to celebrate World Teacher’s Day 2020. Though these messages are in several languages, the emotion and sentiment behind each one of them are the same. See for yourself!
