CBSE Schools to celebrate National Unity Day

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed the affiliated schools to celebrate October 31 as National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed the affiliated schools to celebrate October 31 as National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

The circular states “The occasion provides us an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.”

As part of the celebration, schools may conduct a pledge ceremony and Run For Unity which will be organized at the state/district headquarters or even at the school level. CBSE has also directed schools to ensure the fitness and health conditions of the students for the same.

Schools are required to submit a report of the ceremony at link https://goo.gl/forms/y14lkCOFs7GF75ME2 on or before 03.11.2018.
