CBSE Schools to celebrate Paryatan Parv from 5th to 25th October 2017

To celebrate the spirit of tourism and to motivate people to participate in activities showcasing the tourism potential of Incredible India, Government of India is launching the campaign ‘Paryatan Parv’ from 5th to 25th October,2017. The Parv aims at supporting tourism in India and would revolve around elements like promoting tourism for all and organizing cultural activities. 

The celebrations will run from October 5 to October 25, 2017 across several cities and iconic tourism destinations in the country. Throughout these 20 days, the ‘Paryatan Parv’ will give an opportunity for the citizens of the country to explore the cultural heritage and enjoy the diverse cuisine, cultural programmes, music, theatre, etc.

i. Seminars to acquaint students with the benefits of tourism apart from cultivating a touring culture and imparting up-do-date information about tourism.
ii. Special Assemblies to highlight different cultures of the various states of India.
iii. Essay Writing/Slogan Writing/Debate /Quiz /Panting competition on various themes related to tourism such as:
 Role of tourism in the mutual understanding and Social harmony.
 Tourism brings economic and social prosperity.
 Education and tourism move hand in hand.
 Environmentally sustainable tourism.
 Tourism promoting plurality of cultures.

It further reiterates that the above activities shall be undertaken in the most befitting manner and due publicity may be given to all these events over print, electronic and social media. A brief report on celebration of Paryatan Parv in school alongwith photographs may be sent to the Shri A.HAhmed, Joint Director, CBSE, Shiksha Sadan, 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi by 30th October 2017.
