The governments of some of the most corrupted states in India have exempted this film off tax!
A hard-hitting film based on the commercialisation and corruption in education, Chalk n Duster, has been exempted from tax in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi.
The actors in the film were ecstatic as the government of these four states announced the tax exemption, as one of the leading actresses, Juhi Chawla took to Twitter to talk of the same!
‘Impressed by the film, states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have confirmed tax exemption for 'Chalk N Duster’” tweeted Chawla.
The film, directed by Jayant Gilatar, stars Shabana Azmi, Juhi Chawla, Divya Dutta, Jackie Shroff, Girish Karnad in the main leads.
