Inter-school dance competition for Classes 1-5 of the Cultural Spa event of the Subodh Public School, Jaipur, was truly a rocking one. The sub-event was flagged off with Gayatri Mantra. Primary students from 23 schools all across the city were part of this theme-based group dance competition, which had various Virtue as its theme.
Girls with glittering blue and silver dresses and pom-poms in their hands gave a superb start to the competition and were welcomed with great exuberance by the audience. Next came the group that danced on the theme ‘Joy’ and copied Ranveer Singh’s action from Tattad Tattad from from the movie Ram Leela. The performance was brilliantly brought to an end by Croc-roaz fame slow walk. The event went on with dances on themes like Peace, Unity, Love, etc. The children performed with props ranging from cushions, umbrellas, flags to pom-poms. While some dances were fun to watch others even had a motivational message to give. From contemporary to hip hop, Jaipur students showcased various dance forms.
Though it was an inter-school competition, calling it a small event is a strict NO. The enthusiasm put at display by the audience, participants, winners was no less than a cricket world cup match.
The event ended with the declaration of the winners. Though tough, judges somehow finalized the winners and declared Step By Step IB, Mahapura as the winner followed by Maheshwari Public School on second position and Neerja Modi occupying the third position.
