The first look of the Jon Favreau directed adaptation of Kipling’s The Jungle Book was released way back in September 2015, though it was only Kaa, aka Scarlett Johansson, singing there.

However, this isn’t the first time that the book has been adapted into a film. An earlier version was released in 1967, a twisted version with Mowgli’s character as an adult was showcased in 1994. The most talked about version still remains to be Warner Bros’ adaptation which is anticipated in 2017.

Written by Justin Marks, this 3D live animation adventure film revolves around a boy, Mowgli, lovingly raised by a pack of wolves, a bear and a panther, who is later on threatened by a tiger.

The Jungle Book, a collection of fables, was written by Rudyard Kipling, published in 1893-94.
