Education department will make an enquiry against Robert Money School

Around 34 students will be shifted to another school as education minister orders an inquiry against this decision.

Last month, around 34 students of Robert Money School had settled on to move to some other institution. This decision was taken when some parents and teachers of this school approached BB Chavan, the deputy director of school education and complained about it. He later ordered for an inquiry to sort out this matter.

Previously in 2013, the junior college was shut down by the school and many teachers were terminated. The school then started to close down the primary section and now the secondary section (Std VI to IX) will be shut down this year as per the management decision.

Some leaving certificates were given to the parents forcefully and this made parents angry and they complained to the local police station and the deputy director of the school education

Christian Reform United People Association also wrote a letter to the police as well as the education department to act accordingly on the request of some teachers and parents. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the BJP MLA requested the education minister to resolve this matter at the earliest as it belongs to his constituency.

On May 4, BB Chavan wrote a letter to the education inspector (south zone education department) informing him about the illegal shutting of the school and the forceful issuing of leaving certificate to the students. He also requested for a proper inquiry and necessary action. The inspector of the south zone aforesaid that to send a detailed report to the deputy director's office.
