Teachers around the globe are suffering due to the pandemic, just like Hanumanthula Raghu from Telangana.
52-year-old Raghu lost his job as a teacher in a private school in Korutla, Telangana. To add to the misery, his son, who has completed his B.Ed, too, got unemployed. But the self-respecting teacher did not let anybody know what he was going through. Fortunately, his ex-students found out the reality when they contacted him to ask about his wellbeing during these unprecedented times.
After learning their teacher’s situation, his students of SSC batch of 1997-98 came together to offer help. To keep things rolling, they decided to give their favourite English & Biology teacher from 20 years ago a tiffin-centre.
Raghu has lovingly named his tiffin-centre Gurudakhsina to honour his students’ gesture.

The shed of the tiffin-centre is almost ready now and Raghu and his family would be starting a new life very soon. His students have also promised him to bring in customers to kick-start his income.
