Festive season is on full-swing these days and Subodh Public School, Airport is celebrating it in its own way by organizing a food carnival for its students. The entire school turned colorful and vibrant with varied hued charts, rangolis, diyas, candles … making everybody immerse in the festivities.

As soon as the Team ScooTalks entered the school premises we noticed a diya, a different one. Colored diya kept on earthen stand and surrounded by multicolor rangoli beneath. We were amused to see the use of colors, unaware of the fact that this was just the beginning and more such creativity was waiting for us.

The event organized by the school was both a competition and a food fair, where the students competed against each other for the rangoli competition. The rangoli competition was divided into three categories, flower rangoli, color rangoli, and mandna.

In the flower rangoli, students added different colors, making use of rose petals, yellow-orange marigold, leaves of Ashoka tree for Green. The judge for the event, Mrs Purvi Lodha asked the students which flowers they used and why to which the students replied very intelligently saying that they wanted to add a vivacious touch to the rangoli and so use of multi colors was on their mind and hence they picked up these flowers.

Next was the Mandna, which the students made all the more different with their unique ideas. Making use of Gheru and chowk powder the students created Maa Durga rangoli design, which is a rare sight in Rajasthan but the creative minds of Subodh have a broad spectrum.

The third and the most colorful of all was the color rangoli or the CR category. Here, the students not only made Maa Durga’s rangoli design but also maa Laxmi’s footsteps inviting her to shower her blessings on Diwali.

Team ScooTalks also visited the school ground where food stalls representing food from various countries were put on sale by the students. ScooTalks team also got a chance to taste a few of the stalls and our taste buds were more than satisfied with the delicious food offered. The students made sure that everybody tasting their food have a feel of the country of food’s origin so decorated the stall accordingly.

All in all it was a fun affair, where everybody, from teachers, students, principal to our team enjoyed thoroughly.
