Shweta Prabhakaran, an Indian American 15-year-old entrepreneur and the founder of ‘Everyone Code Now’ has been selected for the esteemed ‘Champions of Change’ awards at the White House. She is amongst those 11 young women who have been selected for this award.

This young entrepreneur born in Indiana, still a junior member at Science and Technology at Thomas Jefferson High School, Virginia, also the CEO of Everyone Code Now!, not only handles the entire company but also wants to encourage the upcoming generation to become engineers, entrepreneurs and scientists. She has efficiently and visibly started working towards it.

“Under Swetha's direction, Everybody Code Now has taught hundreds of students how to code and has raised thousands of dollars for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities in schools,” as said by White House and further it explained, “Her mentorship programmes have transformed shy young girls into confident students, community leaders, and budding technologists.”

Being a female, with her origins in India, she knows what career, entrepreneurship could mean for women, and how it can be a tough task for them. Shweta wants to and does support shy and young women to transform into confident technologist

What more? Along with her intense passion for science and technology, Shweta, Indian born, though settled in USA is still close to her native country; proven by her excellent Bharatnatyam skills
