‘India in a Day’, a crowdsourced movie by Google, showcases how a large population of the country is still unaware of the magical powers of the Internet, but the ones aware of it are completely relying on it.

The first look of the movie, a 3.54-minute-long video begins with a female voice saying, ‘This is magic about India’, followed by an elderly man seemingly confused with the way India’s quickly moving up, “Abhi jitni azadi mil gayi hai, jitna fast ja rah hai India hamara, kuch bata nahi sakte.” The movie focusing on India’s Internet revolution shows people from different demographics and what they think about the Internet.

It highlights the fact that to bring a complete revolution in the country India needs two things necessarily:

1. English language

2. The Internet

What tickled everybody’s funny bone was a scene where the a boy talked about how people hack neighborhood Internet, saying, “India is a country of brotherhood, 1 router and 5 families using it.”

The movie is set to release later this year.
