The hosts, Greenwood High International School, are over the moon as they celebrate a smashing victory in the state-level chess contest.
The school has grabbed the overall championship in the 3rd Karnataka State Schools Team Chess Championship 2016 which they hosted from 2 to 5 February.
Greenwood High International School secured 96 points on their way to victory; following close was Sri Aurobindo Memorial School, the runner-up team, which scored 78 points.
There were 146 teams from 16 schools taking part in the contest.
