Every year, Gurukul The School's Prefectural Board assumes office on August 15.  Continuing with the same tradition, the School's democratically elected Student Council 2016-17 swore allegiance to the office after pinning the coveted badges on the 70th Independence day of India.

In the presence of our illustrious guests, Directors Mr. Sachin Vats and Ms. Shikha Vats, Director Finance Mr. Diwaker Tiwari, Director Academics Ms. Prabha Verma, Principal Mr. Gaurav Bedi and on the energetic beats of the school band, the elegant looking school Council members marched in to uphold the School Flag and to shoulder their responsibilities.

Led by the Head Boy Shaurya Vats and Head Girl Aditi Aggarwal, the newly appointed Prefects and Vice Prefects of various domains including Discipline, Sports, Editorial and Academics pledged to dispense their duties towards School' Legislature with honesty, integrity, commitment and co-operation.

Principal, Mr. Gaurav Bedi congratulated the Council members after administering the oath and said that a leader is one who 'knows the way, goes the way and shows the way' with unswerving devotion. In complete tandem with the spirit of the day, the ceremony culminated with the National Anthem.
