Mrinalika Rathore, a youngster from Jaipur after finishing her studies from Lady Sri Ram College, Delhi and going through a 2-year Teach for India (TFI) fellowship is planning to start a unique fellowship model in Jaipur to enable educated youth from Jaipur to spend 1-2 years in existing low income schools of Jaipur, with the objective of filling the critical quality education gap in such schools. Students from top grade colleges of Jaipur / Rajasthan will form part of this fellowship and will spend two years in one school. Mrinalika is starting this venture from the low income school in Jaipur where she herself studied.
Mrinalika says, “We at Sashaktikaran envision to provide an empowering education to all children in Rajasthan. We strongly believe, education will empower our children to make a well informed choice in their life and do what their heart speaks. We will work towards this vision by providing this education in schools in Rajasthan through teachers.”
Sashaktikaran's mission is to create transformational schools through transformational teachers. This will ensure that students avail the best of education by developing capacity in teachers. Teachers are greatly invested in their students to facilitate learning, provided they receive support and motivation. If teachers understand the importance of the work they do, and are valued for their efforts, they can transform their student’s life.
Sashaktikaran has started a fund-raiser on crowd funding platform Milaap, where you could contribute financially, even a small amount. Here is the link:
