Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) is one of the finest all-girls' residential schools of India, located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The institution was founded by Late Rajmata of Gwalior, Srimant Vijaya Raje Scindia, in 1956.
Just like other education institutes all around the world, SKV, too, had to shut down its operations at the beginning of the year 2020 due to the COVID outbreak. Reopening is now steadily under consideration after more than seven months of complete lockdown. With the SOPs of reopening, considering all the strategising and risky analysing, it will take some time to open the gates once again for its dear students.
Meanwhile, to let the girls know how much the school administration is missing them, SKV has released a heart-touching video called ‘We miss you this much’ on its social media channels, that has instantly gone viral.
Its opening lines say:

Dear Girls,
We miss you entering the school gates,
and your presence at the assembly hall.
We miss your voices filling the campus.
We miss planning our days around your timetable,

not knowing what new things the day will bring with you.
We miss the sight of your excited faces, and
the smiles that we shared with you.
With pictures of the school building and girls neatly dressed in their uniforms streaming throughout the 2.33-minute-long video, you can hear the famous song These Are The Best Days by PinkZebra in the background, putting forth the emotions and motivating the students that they are in this together.
The empty Mess misses you,

even the secret birthday venue has lost its charm
The basketball court looks defeated without you
and the football ground is forlorn without you.
The classrooms miss your chit-chat-chit-chat.
That delight on your face when you

discover something new.
We miss that.
It is not a secret that the education sector took the biggest blow during the initial months of the pandemic phase. Amidst everything, a gesture like this from your school saying they “miss your voices filling the campus” is a big nostalgia trigger. Isn’t it?
The song, initially posted on the school’s Instagram page, has gotten over 8,000+ views and shares overnight.
