Another commendable strategy and application amid the Coronavirus scare of 2020 by the Indian Government’s Human Resource Development Ministry. Since it has been confirmed and implemented that schools all across the country would close, the HRD Ministry came up with a proposition which would allow kids to catch up on studies.

On Wednesday 18 March 2020, the Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank,’ tweeted:

“Dear Students, to make sure that you stay connected with your studies even when you are away from school, we are soon launching e-classes on SWAYAM Prabha DTH channels, full of school education content aligned with your ongoing syllabus.”

While the number of Corona cases rose to 151 on Wednesday, the HRD Ministry is attempting to think beyond the usual panic and do something for the students of the country. Minister added, “Time-slots of 4 hours daily have been approved on Swayam Prabha DTH channels for selected states. Since you are missing school due to COVID-19, we urge you to make the most of this time & stay connected with your studies. We are taking this on priority (sic),”
