Independence Day celebrated with fervour at Jayshree Periwal High School
India’s 70th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal and fervour at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur. The celebrations commenced with the school choir singing Vande Matram, followed by a cultural programme which was put up by the students on the theme HEROE’S — A SAGA UNFURLED
India’s 70th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal and fervour at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur. The National Flag was unfurled amidst a shower of flower petals followed by a rendition of the country’s National Anthem and patriotic songs.
The celebrations commenced with the school choir singing Vande Matram, followed by a cultural programme which was put up by the students on the theme HEROE'S — A SAGA UNFURLED. The programmed paid a rich tribute to the brave and heroic army officers who lost their lives while protecting the country.
The event saw a very enthusiastic participation by the students who whole heartedly joined in the recital of their favourite patriotic songs. Their fervour imbued the audience with zeal and ardour. They also presented dance numbers on the theme of Independence.
The principal addressed the students emphasizing the value of Independence and urged them to not get swayed by popular opinion or what they hear or see, but to rationalise and ponder before taking big decisions. She advised them to have an independent thinking mind and act sensibly.

The programme culminated with rendition of the National Anthem. Sweets were distributed amongst the staff and students.
