A long standing marketing mantra has been ‘Get them young’ if you want consumers to stay with your brand longer and place greater trust in your brand. The terror group ISIS is set to take this adage to a different level altogether.

The world over, children are introduced to the world of alphabets using mnemonic devices like — “A” was for apple, “B” for ball, and so on. A new Android app released by the Islamic State has a different set of mnemonics in mind.

Released through the Islamic State Telegram channels, the app is designed to introduce children to the Arabic alphabet using militaristic mnemonics like guns, ammunition, tanks and rockets.

This may be the beginning of a dangerous trend where undesirous social elements take to technology to indoctrinate young impressionable minds with dangerous concepts. Besides, the games for memorization of Arabic characters and words, the app also incorporates nasheed (Acappella Islamic songs), jihadist terminology and colorful child-like animations that undoubtedly are designed considering the young generation who will potentially take over the baton from the current generation of Islamic extremists.
