St. Xaviers’ School, Jaipur, is on a proud pedestal once again. As many as 11 students of the school have cleared and been selected for National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). The exam is conducted by NCERT in schools across India to help schools improve academically; though the main aim remains to bring out to the forth the talented and outperforming students.

The feat, however, is not new for St. Xaviers’ School. The name of this prestigious school of Jaipur is a regular feature in the winner list of NTSE. While having chat with him, Father Ravi John proudly mentioned that most of the schools manage only 3-4 scholars each year, however, St. Xaviers’ comes winning with many more students, like in the year 2014, 13 scholars were selected. NCERT selects 850 students from all over India each year.

The scholars who had worked hard for the entire year preparing for this examination beamed happily for their achievement. Saumya Bharti, one of the proud scholars, said that not just her but all of them had prepared hard. She suggests that the best to crack NTSE is to concentrate on whatever is being taught in the class, revise it once back at home. She also swears by NCERT books.

Divit Kanawat, who has also been selected in the final 11, says that what matters is focus and dedicated work in students. As a tip to other students, he says that it’s quite important to follow your teachers at school instead of tutors.

Father John Ravi, the principal of the school, couldn’t hold himself from ear-to-ear smile for the success of his scholars. Congratulating his scholars, he said that it is such students that help the school continue with its legacy. Not just the students, he also congratulated the teachers and parents behind their success stories, saying that the success of a school is dependent on not just one, but all the factors, that is, students, parents, and teachers alike.
