Our elders might find today’s youth vague, but they for sure can stand united when needed. The gathering at Amar Jawan Jyoti, Jaipur, was an example.

Amar Jawan Jyoti, Jaipur, today witnessed the singing of national song by over 50,000 academic people in unison.

The event ‘Vande Mataram Voice of Unity in Jaipur’ was held to mark the beginning of Hindu Sprititual and Service Fair in the Pink City Jaipur.

Several school and college going students had gathered up at the venue right on time, that is, 9am today, walking in the gates of security check to be a part of this historic event.

While the students were finding their place to sit, patriotic mood was set in by songs like ‘Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera’, from Swades, being sung by world renowned Vikram Hazra. To boost the enthusiasm, as many as 100 sitar players were invited of whom 70 were females.

The view at the Amar Jawan Jyoti was worth praising, with the national song being sung by the young, enthusiastic youth of the nation and the Indian National flag waving with it’s each beat.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore the Minister of State for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje were the chief guest for the event, while Vikram Hazra, the famous singer, was the celebrity of the day.

The event saw the presence of around 400 schools and 100 colleges, amounting to a footfall of around around 50,000. Followers of art-of-living served as the volunteer for the event.
