Jaipur Zoo wants Children to celebrate World Wildlife Week and get awareness about wildlife conservation

The Rajasthan State Forest Department and Jaipur Zoo are jointly organizing World Wildlife Week celebrations starting from  October 1st. A lot of activities like puppet show, quizzes, essay writing are planned to target children with week-long activities.

The Rajasthan State Forest Department and Jaipur Zoo are jointly organising World Wildlife Week celebrations starting from  October 1st.

A lot of activities like puppet show, quizzes, essay writing are planned to target children with week-long activities.

The main attraction will be the daily puppet show giving messages for wild life protection and conservation and inspire children to visit the Nahargarh Zoological Park which has been opened recently to the public.
 
The activities for children will be like walk for conservation, quiz competition, bird watching, birds identification, animal tribute programme, essay competition, declamation contest, collage making and on-spot painting competition on different days. Various schools have been urged to participate.

Besides these contests and puppet shows, there will be image identification shows and short play at Ravindra Manch and Jaipur Zoo.

Wildlife Week is celebrated every year in India between October 1 and 8. The annual theme of the campaign is to promote the preservation of fauna – i.e. animal life.
