Jayshree Periwal High School provided an enlightening experience by organising a Buddhism workshop
The Jayshree Periwal High School organised a workshop on Buddhism for its students. The chief speaker for the even was Dr. Neekee Chaturvedi, Head, Department of History, Maharani College.
Keeping up with the promise of providing enriching experiences to students, the Humanities Department of the Jayshree Periwal High School organised a workshop on the theme of Understanding Buddhism: Search and Research. The guest speaker was Dr. Neekee Chaturvedi, Head, Department of History, Maharani College.
The interactive session was extremely informative. The focus of the workshop was on the multiple trajectories available to study Buddhism and also to highlight the importance of sources such as scriptures, art, architecture, travelogues, explorations, popular literature as well as films in order to analyze the historical development of Buddhism.
The session piqued the curiosity of students and it would be safe to say that the session opened many doors to Buddhism for the students who would like to further research the topic.
