In the gone-by days, most of the prestigious schools of Pink City Jaipur were engaged in the Sahodaya Fest 2015 and Rawat Public School was in no way behind in being an integral part of this event. The school organized two different workshops under the Sahodaya fest on 2nd and 3rd November. Dedicating the day to Indian classical dance form, Kathak, the school organized Kathak workshop “Katha”.

Renowned Kathak dancer, Megha Jagawat, was the mentor for the workshop and gave the students in-depth knowledge about the expressional dance form. She taught various aspects of “Bhaav Bataanaa” to the students, along with quenching the queries of dance enthusiasts. Inquisitive minds of the Team ScooTalks also got answer to its various questions. Students from over 25 schools participated in this workshop which was organized to educate students about the great culture and heritage of India.

Next day of the two-day event was dedicated to Kho-kho tournament. More than twenty teams were part of this event. The tournament was inaugurated by B.S. Rawat, the Chairman of Rawat Educational Group, by lightening of the torch by chairman of Rawat educational group, B.S. Rawat. It was brought to conclusion with the win of Indo-Bharat International School, followed by Kapil Gyan Peeth being the first runner-up and Rawat Public School being the second runner-up. The entire day saw the youth cheering up for their respective teams. Some sight it was to see the enthusiastic crowd play the game with a lot of exuberance. And finally the tournament came to an end.

In the end, director of Rawat Public School, Narendra Singh Rawat presented the winners with the trophy, encouraging them by saying how sports teaches bravery, discipline, self-confidence and hardwork and one should always have sportsmanship.
