Winning is a constant practice for her and losing … well she’s never faced it. We at ScooTalks talk about kids, kids who are achievers, kids who are talented, but this time we came across a young girl who’s not just talented but is a powerhouse of talent and her mother, the proud mother, unable to stop herself from boasting about her, calls her child God’s special gift.

Name a field and this 11-year-old girl Kinshuk Apoorv Agarwal has nailed it.

Creation By Kinshuk

When kids of her age were learning to run properly, Kinshuk had won silver medal under Olympic Association of India in skating in the year 2009 at the age of 4. Giving 100% attendance consecutively for 4 years, she has also won inter-school Hindi and English recitation and story telling competitions. The girl loves drawing and has an endless list of awards to her credit; to name a few, she has won Picasso International Art Contest, Inter Podar Art contest, Art Contest by Supreme Travels, All India Art Competition.

Checking out the entire list of awards that the girl has won, Hridya and Vaishali, the backbones of Team ScooTalks editorial team, were super-excited to talk to this talent. They called up Kinshuk to know how it feels to be a winner all the time.

Here’s a quick excerpt of their chat with Kinshuk and her family.

ScooTalks: So many awards, all surrounded by awards and certificates and trophies … how do you feel like?

Kinshuk: (Very humbly) Feels good. These are in a way a source of inspiration to perform yet better. These help me continue with my learning process

ScooTalks : You are so involved in many activities. How do you manage to excel in all?

Kinshuk: Mumma has helped me set a time-table for every day. Both mumma and papa help me organize myself well. With some of my favorite activities, I also strictly follow the set time-table.

Mumma: Even if it’s a party at home or guests have come, she would not deviate from her set time table. After all these years and activities, she has come to realize that time management is the key to her success.

ScooTalks: Proud parents, we would like your views … your child won her first award at an age of 4. And continues the streak. It must be an exhilarating journey for you …

Mumma: Kinshuk has always made us proud. Even after being so talented, she has no air about it. She is obedient, disciplined and a very affectionate child and to put it in appropriate words, I would say our girl, our pride is God’s special gift to us.

Daddy: She’s a blessing to us. Talents or not, she would have been our star anyways. But having such a child definitely makes us proud! What makes us all the more proud is the fact that she manages her studies and extra-curriculars all on her own!

ScooTalks: Did you ever tell Kinshuk ki beta, ye nahi iss field me jao … ya do this thing it will be easier to compete here? Or were it all her own liking that she excels in?

Mumma: I just wanted to see her successful. So, guiding her was a part of parenting. I never forced anything on her, but on the other hand also made sure that she would go in the field she enjoys the most.

Daddy: We actually never had the need to force her, like I mentioned earlier, minor guidance was that she ever needed. Then, a child excels the most in what she’d like. Had we started forcing things on her, she wouldn’t have excelled. She’s just naturally talented.

ScooTalks:  What else do you like, what else do you really enjoy?

Kinshuk: NATURE … (an instant reply that was!)
At her age, girls might have said Barbie, cartoons or that the likes but Kinshuk is different. She said she likes greenery, mountains and is very much fascinated with mother Earth. She loves exploring new places and has almost covered every place around Pune. She especially likes the serenity, beauty of the place.

Well! We guess this is the reason she loves drawing.

ScooTalks: So super-star, what is the best part of competitions you face?

Kinshuk: Seniors. Competiting with seniors is fun because there is more to learn from their experience, competition with them is very challenging and so needs a lot more practice and focus, making it total fun!

ScooTalks: Mommy, Daddy, any Special memory from her childhood that you would like to share?

Mumma: There is not one but many special memories with her but to mention a few, I would like to tell you about state-level skating competition where she won a silver medal and after finishing the line she directly went to her papa’s lap unaware of the fact that she has won such a prestigious award. She has never flaunted her trophies and medals, be at school or at home. She is known to be a very down-to-Earth child. I clearly remember one incident where she went to a competition along with my friend’s daughter and won the competition, but when she saw my friend’s daughter’s sad face, she had very innocently offered her the winning prize.

ScooTalks:  You seem to be highly creative. Who inspires you all for all that you do?

Kinshuk: My mother is my inspiration.

ScooTalks: Why not papa?

Kinshuk: Papa is more interested in stage activities and sports and mamma is more inclined towards drawing so for arts and creative things, I consider her as my inspiration.

Also, all my teachers at my school, Global Indian International School, Pune are too supportive for all my interests. It helps me a great deal to have such wonderful teachers, they encourage me at each and every point. Had it not been my teachers here, it would certainly have been a bit tougher to manage my studies with all these activities.

Talking to you was a great pleasure, Kinshuk, feels Vaishali. And inspirational too, quips Hridya. Gem … is how our team summarizes you as.
