Meet Aryan Chopra – The New 14 year old Grandmaster from India

Aryan achieved Grand Master status at the age of 14 years and 9 months and become the second youngest Indian to become Grandmaster after Parimarjan Negi.

Delhi youngster Aryan Chopra completed all the requirements to become the new Grandmaster from India after crossing the live rating barrier of 2500 during the ongoing 13th IGB Dato Arthur Tan International Open Chess Championship-2016 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Earlier he completed his norm requirements at 23rd Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival Masters Tournament by achieving his third and final norm.

Aryan achieved this feat at the age of 14 years and 9 months and become the second youngest Indian to become Grandmaster after Parimarjan Negi.

Aryan is also the youngest of all Grandmasters that are currently active.
