Meritorious CBSE Class XII students felicitated at Gunn Gaurav Samman Samaroh- 2019

The 4th Gunn Gaurav Samman Samaroh-2019 was organized in the capital on 22.05.2019 under the aegis of MHRD. The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar felicitated 75 students of class XII who topped in CBSE examinations in different categories. Smt. Rina Ray, Secretary (School Education & Literacy) also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The Secretary CBSE, Sh. Anurag Tripathi welcomed and addressed the invitees and congratulated the recipients while encouraging them to follow their dreams.

The Hon’ble HRM Shri Javadekar appreciated the extra ordinary efforts put in by each student and saluted their perseverance and gave awards to students including Overall Toppers, students from Delhi Government Schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Private Schools, SC/ST, Lower Income Group and Students with Special Needs.

4th in a row, the programme is an acknowledgement of the consistent effort and merit of the students who have demonstrated their perseverance to overcome hurdles in achieving high academic performance even in adverse conditions for some of these students.

Out of 75 awardees, there were 15 Overall Toppers, 08 students from Delhi Government Schools, 05 from JNV, 05 from Kendriya Vidyalaya, 18 students under SC&ST category, 09 students under Children with Special Needs Categories and 15 students belonging to the lower income Group.

Other senior officials of CBSE, MHRD, KVS and JNV were also present on the occasion. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Controller of Exams, CBSE Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj.
