Ministry of HRD introduces “Siksha Setu”, an initiative to improve government schools
Union HRD minister, Smriti Irani tweeted today about introducing the concept of ‘Siksha Setu’ where reputed private educational institutions will join hands with government schools to impart quality education.

The concept of 'Siksha Setu' is based on the premise where reputed private educational institutions join hands with government schools to impart quality education to children. Jay Jalaram International School in Anand has adopted a government school in Maghrol under 'Siksha Setu' as part of SAGY. This is in line with the vision of PM Narendra Modi of “Fostering dreams of young citizens by ensuring quality education”.

Smriti Irani will be in Maghrol today, a village adopted by her under SAGY in Anand district of Gujarat.
Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), a rural development program focusing upon the development in the villages was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, on 11 October 2014.
