Drenched in colors of patriotism, students of MPS International, Jaipur performed at the  Government Central Museum, Albert Hall. The event began with the school girls performing the chari dance on the Rajasthan’s very own and favorite ‘Kesariya Balam’, promoting tourism, followed by their performance on many other Rajasthani songs like kalyo kud padyo mela mein and des mera rangila. What captivated the audiences was the vibrant gulal being splashed in the background while the girls twirled in circles all over the stage.

Mr. Paras Jaiswal, the dance teacher of the school and choreographer for this event, must surely have been proud of the entire performance!

As soon as the girls exited the stage, it was taken over by two students wearing army uniform, holding the board with the message – Jaipur Bomb Blast 13th May 2008. Both the students danced on the song Aye Khuda gir gaya gir gaya, Main jo tujh se door huaa and soon were joined by the group of more such students who collectively danced on the song Kuch kar guzarne ko … and last but not the least, they danced on the song Chalni karde seena mera and intrigued the audiences with their energetic and aggressive performance. Ending the performance by hoisting of the national flag at the historical monument of pink city, the students of MPS International filled the air surrounding the area with patriotism.

After the enthusiastic performance, re-entered the girl students; this time in frilly white dresses. Throwing light on the poor condition of girls in the society and the social evil of female infanticide, the girls danced on the song O re chiraiya … The entire performance was quite symbolic with the girls showing the declining conditions they face, dressed in costumes of a fairy. From GREEN of the army the stage turned to WHITE of the fairy…seeing the girls wearing white dresses and looking like fairies, the audiences went into an entire different world but then, yet again they travelled back into the patriotic world with the performance of the lil’ army men, who now danced on the song Jashn-e-ishqa.

The performance ended with the merger of both the worlds. The fairies and the army boys were finally together on stage, dancing on the song Hum India Wale. Overall performance choreographed by dance teacher Paras Jaishwal was worth praising.
