Nashik First to train 18,000 students on traffic rules

Nashik First has initiated to train 18,000 students on traffic rules and safety.

With the growing hasslesome traffic, Nashik First has taken an initiative to reach the students who will be tomorrow's driver, and make them aware about traffic safety. Nashik First is therefore educating school children free of charge through traffic awareness training programme.

Traffic Training Sessions will begin from June 27 onwards in two batches, for all the students studying in Std V to Std X of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) schools. The first batch will be from 10.30am to 12.30pm and second batch will be from 2pm to 4pm every day. Expecting to cover approximately 18,000 students of NMC schools, the training sessions will continue for the whole year. Nashik First has also arranged for pickup and drop facility for the school children by bus.

On Monday, June 27- The First session of the Training Programme will be inaugurated at 10am by Praveen Gedam, Commissioner, NMC, in the presence of Ashok Murtadak, Mayor, Nashik Municipal Corporation, Gurmeet Bagga, Deputy mayor and Sanjay Chavan, Chairman, Education Committee, NMC, Umesh Dongre, administrative officer, education dept, NMC and Chandrakant Vyas, senior vice-president, ABB India Ltd. at the training hall of the Children's Traffic Education Park.
