Continuing it’s effort to preserve and maintain Sisodiya Rani Baag as we had reported earlier, Neerja Modi School has not lost the enthusiasm it had started with.

The school had adopted Sisodia Rani Baag few months back under an initiative by CBSE, ‘Adopt a Monument,’ to propagate the message of preservation of historical monuments. Making the students feel responsible about  Sisodiya Rani Baag, the monument adopted, the school earlier sent Class 4th students and now Class 6th students for taking care of it.

The monument, which is an amalgamation of greenery and historical domes, was maintained and cleaned by the students of Neerja Modi. Five teams of students from Grade 6th were assigned the task, who diligently with their magic brooms in their lil’ hands and responsibility on their shoulders left no corner of the garden unclean.

The students made sure to fill their garbage bags with as much dirt as possible. With smiling faces and a zeal to clean, the students seemed excited, setting a perfect example of team work. The whole cleanliness drive was to make the generation of today aware of the importance of preservation of these monuments. –

Hope to see more such schools coming forward for taking up similar responsibilities.
