Neerja Modi School, (NMS) Jaipur is one of those rare schools which encourages its students to not only think out of the box but also goes that extra mile to help students experience the results of their thinking.
NMS encourages students to come up with start up ideas and facilitates these ideas by showcasing them at the Jaipur chapter of TiE. It is through this nurturing process that 2 start ups from NMS – H.U.G.S and Street yum have qualified for the TIE young entrepreneurs’ competition at the Jaipur Chapter.
TiE Young Entrepreneurs is a Global program aimed at fostering a future generation of entrepreneurs. In fact the program is focussed towards teaching entrepreneurship to high school students and helping them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur.
During the program the students form teams and are first taught classroom modules on aspects of business and entrepreneurship. Equipped with these basics the students are then required to write their own business plans. Teams compete at the chapter level Finals first and the winner of each chapter goes on to the Global Competition to compete for a prize money of USD10,000.
