New Zealand’s education system is ranked the #1 education system

New Zealand’s status as a destination for quality Indian students continues to rise, with a range of scholarships for Indian students and a New Zealand Masters launched today.

Kriti Sanon, Education New Zealand’s India Brand Ambassador, launched the third edition of New Zealand Excellence Awards (NZEA) and a special 18-month Master’s programme for Indian students.

Kriti along with Education New Zealand’s Regional Director – South and South-East Asia, Middle East, Mr. John Laxon highlighted the importance of a holistic and future-ready education. New Zealand’s education system is ranked the #1 education system in the world the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Educating for the Future Index. New Zealand achieved this ranking by providing students with dynamic learning environments and global career connections, within an open and tolerant society.  

The third season of New Zealand Excellence Awards (NZEA) worth over INR 1 crore, a unique scholarship program offering ambitious students, partial scholarships to study a variety of courses and programs available across the spectrum. Business, Fashion and STEM-related programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at New Zealand universities were launched today.

Education New Zealand also launched the New Zealand Masters campaign in partnership with Universities New Zealand. The campaign promotes industry-linked 18-month taught Master qualifications for Indian students, with flexible accelerated or extended options to suit students’ career trajectory. All New Zealand universities are ranked in the top 3% in the world, ensuring Master graduates are sought-after by employers throughout the world.

Launching the NZEA 2018/19 and the special Masters' package, ENZ’s India Brand Ambassador, Kriti Sanon said, “New Zealand has set up a great platform to expand the learning horizon for Indian students and preparing them for jobs of the future, by offering industry connections and global experiences. These initiatives offer incredible opportunities for high-achieving Indian students to pursue a wide variety of quality courses in a positive and multicultural environment, thus enabling them to be global citizens of tomorrow”.

“I am proud to be associated with the NZ Masters launch, and with the NZ Excellence Awards for two seasons in a row,” added Ms. Sanon.

Also present, Mr. John Laxon, Regional Director – India, South, South East Asia, and the Middle East added, “Today’s announcements are specifically designed to encourage ambitious Indian students to choose New Zealand as their preferred education destination.”

“We are excited to be launching a New Zealand Masters campaign, especially for our Indian students and families. Indian students can master their future by choosing a Masters qualification in New Zealand, which offers world-class ranked universities, industry connections, and global career opportunities. The number of Indian students choosing a New Zealand University rose by 19% in 2017, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more Indian students into our Masters and other high-quality education programmes in 2018 and beyond,” added Mr. Laxon.
