National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) is a forum open to young scientists in the age group of 10-17 years as on December 31 of the calendar year.
National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) is a forum open to young scientists in the age group of 10-17 years as on December 31 of the calendar year.
This event of National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) is not restricted to the school-going children only but is also open for the non-school children from the marginalized sections of the society who can be involved as team members.
For NCSC-2016, the theme is 'Science, Technology & Innovation for Sustainable Development'.
Children in the age of 10 years to 14 years (lower age group) and from 14+ years to 17 years (upper age group) as on December 31 of the calendar year can participate in NCSC.

Selection of subjects for activity and registration of teams: On Going!
Working on the projects: Next 2-3 months
District Level Congress: By Late September or Early October
State Level Congress: By mid-November (Please go through state level event)

National Level Congress: National Children's Science Congress from 27th Dec to 31st Dec 2016 (Venue is to be announced).
Kishor VaigyaniK Sammelan: 3-7 Jan (Venue to be announced).
This program is also being linked to INTEL Science and Technology Discovery fairs (ISTDF). This is a direct collaboration between ISTDF and NCSTC, Govt. of India. Child scientists should take this opportunity and showcase their scientific talents.
Two best projects from each State are allowed to participate in the Indian Science Congress. The second group member of the project team is eligible to participate in the Indian Science Congress.
INTEL has expressed desire to provide direct entry to NCSC projects.
National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, is mandated to communicate science & technology to masses. NCSTC encourages research in areas of Science& Technology communication, training of communicators, development of books, manuals, posters, exhibitions, films, radio programs, and television programs on different facets of science & technology and recognizing outstanding efforts through awards and incentives all over the country.
