There have been new developments in the case of Ryan International School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, student Divyansh Kakrora as the parents of the deceased have reportedly claimed negligence by the school. To take the matter forward, Manish Sisodia has also ordered a probe into it, promising toughest punishment.
Some media reports have suggested that a 16-year-old student had jumped into the water tank to help Divyansh, however, the school staff stood watching. Adding-on to the developments, the student’s father, Ramheet Meena, has now said that they had also found injury marks on his private parts. Earlier, the parents had claimed that the dead body of their child was found naked and the clothes were nowhere to be seen. To believe PTI reports, he also had claimed that the principal had threatened the family to stay quiet. He now alleges, says a media report, that it was probably a sexual assault and his son was “done to death”.
Demanding a fresh probe into the matter, he reportedly has said, “I saw the body. There were some injury marks and cotton on his private parts. The principal has been threatening me since the beginning saying that keeping quiet will be good for me…”
He further on was quoted to have said, “We are demanding a CBI probe so as to know how can my child reach that unapproachable place which is often locked and why would he crawl to reach that place. Even after the body was found, they were discussing who is going to take out the body from the tank.”
Principal Sandhya Sabu and four other staff members, Minakshi Kapoor, Yogesh Kholiya, Puran Singh Bisht and Ram Narayan, were arrested earlier last week, but eventually were released on bail.
The class teacher claimed that Divyansh, who otherwise was a bright child, had a habit of sneaking out of the class; however, his teachers reportedly never worked upon this habit but kept sending notes to the parents. The class teacher has now alleged that it was one of those ‘sneaking-out’ moment when Divyansh left the class and no one realised. The school has also alleged that the child was hyperactive, because of which teachers did not even bother checking after him.
