R-Day: Girls with highest education qualification unfurl flag in Haryana

The government Haryana accorded the honour of unfurling the Trianga in the villages across the state to the girls with highest educational qualification.

Making the 67th Republic Day of the nation all the more special for the girls of Haryana, the government of the state accorded the honour of unfurling the Trianga in the villages across Haryana to the girls with highest educational qualification. According to spokesperson, this was done with the aim to promote, ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhaao' programme.

Besides this, the girls born between January 22, 2015 and January 22, 2016 were also given a special invitation for being a part of Republic Day function under 'Mera Pehla Gantantra Utsav' (My First Republic Day) programme.

Haryana, the state infamous for its skewed sex ratio also felicitated girls with highest marks in class 10 and 12, graduation and post-graduation examinations during the academic session 2014-15.
