Can you think of a railway station that has only two trains, one arriving and one departing… shocked??? But don’t be … there is one such station, named Kami-Shirataki in northern Japan that has only two trains coming and going both for the same reason … a school girl.
The only reason for the station to be operational is this girl and her education. Like many other railway stations, this one too was about to get closed due to the low number of passengers but keeping in mind the education of this girl, the authorities have changed their decision.
One train arrives at 7am in the morning to pick-up this girl and the other one arrives at 5pm to drop her back. Once the girl, sole reason of this station being operational, completes her education in March this year, the station will shut down.
Team ScooNews salutes Japan for this gesture and expects to see such a thing happening in India too.
