This is was probably the best ever Ramleela we have ever attended. Toddlers running around, some happy, some with worried faces, some hardly caring, some busy eating … all decked up as various characters from Ramayana … some sight it was! Child within us took a sudden wake-up call as soon as we entered the school premises.

Organizing Ramleela for the kids, Sanskar School stood true to its name, ethics and values. Values are inhibited at an early age and this makes imbibing values in the pre-primary kids all the more important. So Sanskar School, a firm believer of moral values, did an enactment of the Hindu epic 'Ramleela.’

Toddlers, all between the age group 3 and 5 were dressed up like Rama, Seeta, Dashrath, Hanuman, etc. Seeing such young kids perform on stage, Mommys and Daddys were ecstatic. For most of the kids, this was their first ever performance on stage but as childhood knows no norms and is free of worries, the kids were less nervous and more excited to perform their roles.

For the audience, it was a refreshing change from the usual Ramayana. Why, you ask? Well, we did see parents laughing and rolling on the floor. The performing kids were too cute for their roles, several of them still in stuttering age. Fun it got to be as they started their dialogue delivery, with Rama turning to LAMA, Lanka as LANTA, Sita as CHIITA. The most unforgettable and cute moment was to see a young Hanuman ji coming on the stage, trotting his way, wearing specs, totally in love with his poonch The kids did stutter, adding a hilarious touch of exclusivity to their Ramleela, but never did they let their enthusiasm fail them. The stuttering dialogue deliveries endeared the kids and the characters that they played a lot more!

When the play ended, the kids shouted in unison ‘Jai CHREE LAM’ and ScooTalks team joined them cheerfully. How could we not!

All in all, it was not only worth praising act, but also a different one with added cuteness to it. Cheers to all the kids who performed and the teachers who helped them with it
