A reason to rejoice… the much-awaited movie The Jungle Book by Jon Favreau will hit Indian theatres on 8 April, that is a week before the US gets to watch it. And this is probably because Hollywood is gradually realising the huge market India can offer with its population.
Haven’t we all grown-up with The Jungle Book and lived with its various characters? The news of the movie, which stars Neel Sethi as Mowgli, is one of the happiest ones to be received today.
However, this isn’t the first animated movie to be released in India before the US. Adventures of Tintin: The secret of the Unicorn, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol One, etc, have been released in India before hitting the US.
