When Sahodaya School Complex was born, it had some ideas behind it … the leading target was to bring about an overall development of students. And here’s Jaipur leg of Sahodaya, JSSC, organizing a myriad of activities for students. Being a part of Sahodaya, Sanskar School stood true to Sahodaya’s promises, playing host to as many as 16 schools participating in Interschool Basketball Tournament.

The pride behind Indian basketball team, Mr. Mahendra Singh Shekhawat, was invited as the guest of honour. Inaugurating the event, Mr. Shekhawat addressed the players, their coaches, their school authorities, and parents, and discussed the importance of sports. He also talked at length about the spirit of the game.

Principal of Sanskar School, Mrs. Rama Datt, patted the backs of players for their hard-work encouraging them for more. She also stressed on how sports inculcates the value of discipline in children which they tend to follow for the rest of their lives. She urged for a fair play and wished them luck for all their matches.

Day 1 at JSSC Interschool Basketball Tournament:

The inaugural match was played between Sanskar School and Blue Heaven Vidyalaya, which was won by the hosts.

Defence Public School won against Rainbow School

BVBV JLN Marg won against SRN International School

SBIOA Public School won against Kapil Gyan Peeth

BVBV Pratap Nagar won against Spring Dales School

MSMSV won against Mahaveer Public School

Day 2:

Quarter finals:

1. Sanskar School won against Rawat school.

2. MSMSV won against BVBN JLN Marg.

Semi finals:

1. BVBN Pratap Nagar won against MSMSV.

2. Sanskar won against Defence Public School.

By the end of Day 2, Adityavardhan Singh Shekhawat emerged as the top scorer among all the players and was recognized for the same.

The BIG BANG DAY for Jaipur Basketball players. Well, it weren’t just the teams reaching the finals that were excited for this day, but all the Basketball enthusiasts in Jaipur were waiting for this day. The final was to be played between Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan Vidhyashram Pratap Nagar and the hosts, Sanskar School.

The day started loaded with excitement. Both the teams came well-prepared for the day, totally revved up. The audience was equally zippy for the final match. Was a tough match for sure, with both the teams fighting equally hard. However, the final scores the hosts stood 23 scores ahead of BVB Vidyashram Pratap Nagar. As the score board read 42-19 in the last minute, Sanskar School could not stop rejoicing.

Closing ceremony of the event saw Principal Ma’am, Mrs Rama Datt and Director Mrs. Rhea K. Thahryamal distributing the prizes, post which Principal Ma’am congratulated the finalists teams and also appreciated the way the guests had cooperated with the hosts in keeping the flow of event smooth.
